Swedish dreamgaze artist Rebecka Reinhard’s parents met in Skellefteå, a small city just north of Umeå on the outer fringes of the Arctic Circle. Her father was a music obsessive and taught jazz and classical music and at the age of fourteen, she picked up one of his nylon-string guitars and never looked back. A year later, she had her first electric guitar and had formed her first band. The die was cast.
Rebecka’s distinct and punchy vocals, as well as her killer melodies, that unfurl towards the chorus, make her one of the most exciting talents around. She records between London and the Swedish countryside, creating a sound that took years of musical and personal discovery to develop.
